Frequently Asked Questions

Consultation

How much does a consultation cost?

Our consultation is $150-$200 for the first consultation and $80-$120 for follow-ups, depending on the length of time taken and the complexity of the case.

During your consultation, our specialist will do a physical examination to aid in finding an accurate diagnosis. The duration of the consultation will range depending on the complexity of each case. For a standard case, it usually takes 30 minutes or less, but for more complex cases it might take longer.

Dr Sean will take a detailed history, conduct a physical examination and organise further investigations. Some common investigations include X-rays, blood tests, ultrasound, CT Scans, Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) or bone scans.

For the scans, we strive to arrange for them to be done on the same day as the consultation but this is subject to the availability of appointment slots. X-rays can usually be done and reviewed on the same day.

A clinical consultation will be arranged after the investigations to discuss the investigation and clinical findings and to formulate a treatment plan.

We recommend that you consult a specialist if your symptoms are persistent and affecting your daily activities. You can check out our blog posts to find out about some common orthopaedic conditions and understand the treatment options. It is always advisable to get an early diagnosis of the issue rather than a prolonged delay.
